It feels like 2024 just started yesterday, but here we are: 2025! Last year had a vast mix of different styles and elements, and 2025 will be just as diverse. With this huge selection of upcoming trends, there’s just one question: How can we keep up with the fads without breaking the bank, or completely redoing our entire home? Thankfully, this blog is here to help! We’ll be discussing the three biggest trends that will be popular throughout 2025, and how you can effortlessly incorporate them into your home’s current style. Now, let’s see what 2025 has in store for us!

EARTH TONES

Natural, earthy tones help bring the outside in and add a sense of calm to any space. The color spread for earthy tones is broad, ranging from soft greens and blues to beiges, browns, and tans (there are more, but these are the most common). The beauty of these colors is that almost all of them can blend seamlessly with each other.

You don't have to choose between staple neutral pieces or bold colors, you can have both!

The warmth, comfort, and steadiness of earth tones has been celebrated for decades: picture a cool leather sofa or a hardwood tabletop. Along with the colors, many of the pieces you’ll find in this trend are made from natural materials: stone, wood, and more. Luckily, you probably have some pieces that match this trend in your home already!

If you really want to emphasize the natural look in your home, you can add nature itself! Houseplants come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and colors. Even better, you can accessorize with different pots. Don’t have a green thumb? It’s a good thing we have plenty of faux plants available in-store.

PLUSH TEXTURES

various swatches of plush textured fabrics

Plush fabric is characterized by its soft and fuzzy texture. It’s typically made of a mix of synthetic and natural fibers, packed tightly together for that dense, fluffy feel. The softness makes it highly desirable for various applications: blankets, stuffed toys, winter clothing, and more. And now, it’s currently trending in home furnishings and upholstery!

The history of plush fabric goes back to the 20th century: It was first introduced as a luxurious material for upholstery and home furnishings. It instantly grew in popularity for its outstanding comfort and warmth. The word ‘plush’ derives from the French term ‘pluche’, meaning ‘shaggy’ or ‘soft.’ As assembly and manufacturing techniques advanced over the years, plush production evolved and became a staple in the textile industry.

It’s incredibly soft and feels delicate against your skin. When you sit on a sofa, chair, or sectional, you’ll sink into the cushions and feel hugged by the material. This can make your seating an inviting and cozy place to relax at the start or end of your day.

A hidden advantage of plush fabric is its durability. While it’s true that plush materials are delicate to the touch, they’re actually quite sturdy and resistant to wear and tear over time. The synthetic fibers are strong and durable, so they can withstand extended use without losing any softness or shape.

The main benefit of plush fabric is its unmatched comfort.

In addition to the oh-so-soft comfort, plush fabrics come in a variety of colors and patterns, making it easy to match with your home’s current style. Whether you’re looking for a bold design or a simple color, we can bet you’ll find a piece that perfectly matches your needs.

If you’ve been seeing these plush styles on your socials, we highly recommend visiting in-store to feel it for yourself.  Depending on the piece, every seat might feel just a teeny bit different, so testing it out before taking it home is the best idea. We’ll see you soon, stylish shopper!

COOL CURVATURE

Curves are known to create a warm, comfortable energy. They embody softness and help to create a safe, soothing environment. Curves are found throughout nature, so they can help create an organic feel in your home.

For centuries, furniture has been designed with boxy shapes and straight lines. However, in recent decades, there’s been a design shift towards more organic, almost sculptural, shapes. The fluidity of curved furniture gives rooms and homes a more open layout, not stuck with corners and hard edges.

This inviting aesthetic is taking over living rooms, dining areas, and accessory pieces like shelves or chairs. It makes sense, given that these spaces are intimate places to gather in the home. The soft, cozy energy this design brings can’t be beat. With these rooms, adding smaller furniture pieces (such as accent chairs or cabinets, side tables, artwork, and décor) is the best way to bring this trend to life.
